Il est symptomatique que la proposition d’amendement du groupe de la gauche unie qui demandait l’interdiction de la production, de l’essai, de l’utilisation et de la vente d’armes à l’uranium appauvri ait été triomphalement rejetée par une majorité écrasante des membres du Parlement européen, ne recueillant que 23 % des voix.
