It is not only a question of the ability of the European Commission to function but also of the credibility of the European institutions and I do not understand how the Vice-President-in-Office can reproach us, Parliament, for not having shown the necessary patience with the European Commission and how we should show more patience towards the Prodi Commission.
Il ne s’agit pas seulement de la capacité de la Commission européenne à fonctionner mais également de la crédibilité des institutions européennes. Et je ne comprends pas les reproches que le vice-président a formulés à notre égard, à l’égard du Parlement, lorsqu’il déclare que nous n’avons pas fait preuve de la patience nécessaire avec la Commission européenne et que nous devrions être plus patients avec la Commission Prodi.
