On behalf on the European Commission, Neven Mimica, Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development, will visit Burkina Faso on February 12, to welcome the peaceful and successful elections which concluded a remarkable transition process. The visit of the Commissioner will also be an opportunity to show support to the country, following the terrorist attacks in Ouagadougou and in the northern part of the country on 15 January that killed 32 people and injured more than 60.
Au nom de la Commission européenne, le commissaire chargé de la coopération internationale et du développement, M. Neven Mimica, se rendra au Burkina Faso le 12 février pour saluer la tenue pacifique d’élections réussies, marquant l’aboutissement d’un processus de transition remarquable et marquer également son soutien à ce pays à la suite des attentats terroristes, perpétrés à Ouagadougou et dans le nord du pays le 15 janvier dernier, qui ont tué 32 personnes et fait plus de 60 blessés.
