R. whereas according to the above-mentioned cooperation agreement concluded between the EU and the ICC, inter alia, in order to facilitate the obligation of cooperation and assistance, the Parties agreed to the establishment of appropriate regular contacts between the ICC and the EU Focal Point for the Court,

Calls on the Council and the Commission to continue their vigorous efforts to promote universal ratification of the Rome Statute and the adoption of the requisite national implementing legislation, in conformity with Council Common Position 2003/444/CFSP of 16 June 2003 on the International Criminal Court (19) and the Action Plan; points out that not all Council presidencies pursue this common goal with the same vigour; asks all presidencies to mention the status of the ICC cooperation in all summits with third countries; requests that such efforts be extended to include ratification and implementation of the Agreement on the Privileges and Immunities of the ICC, which is an important operational tool for the ICC; notes the entry into force on 8 December 2007 of the agreement with the United Kingdom on the enforcement of sentences (and the entry into force of a similar agreement concluded with Austria in 2005), and urges all Member States to consider concluding similar agreements with the ICC; acknowledges the Cooperation and Assistance Agreement between the European Union and the ICC as an important tool to supplement the obligations incumbent on individual Member States;
demande au Conseil et à la Commission de poursuivre leurs vigoureux efforts afin d'encourager la ratification universelle du statut de Rome et l'adoption des législations nationales d'exécution requises à cet effet, conformément à la position commune du Conseil 2003/444/PESC du 16 juin 2003 sur la Cour pénale internationale (19) et au plan d'action; relève que toutes les présidences du Conseil ne poursuivent pas cet objectif commun avec la même détermination; invite toutes les présidences à évoquer l'état de la coopération avec la CPI lors de toutes les rencontres avec des pays tiers; demande que ces efforts aboutissent à la ratification et à la mise en œuvre de l'accord sur les privilèges et les immunités de la CPI, qui est un outil opérationnel important pour la Cour; prend acte de l'entrée en vigueur le 8 décembre 2007 de l'accord avec le Royaume-Uni sur l'exécution des jugements (et de l'entrée en vigueur d'un accord similaire conclu avec l'Autriche en 2005) et prie instamment tous les États membres d'envisager la conclusion avec la CPI d'accords de même nature; voit dans l'accord de coopération et d'assistance entre la CPI et l'Union européenne un outil important pour compléter les obligations incombant aux différents États membres;

3. The Governing Board may authorise the Director of CEPOL to negotiate cooperation agreements with any of the bodies mentioned in paragraphs 1 and 2.
3. Le conseil d’administration peut autoriser le directeur du CEPOL à négocier des accords de coopération avec chacun des organismes visés aux paragraphes 1 et 2.

(2) Whereas by its Decision of 24 September 1998 the Council authorised the Commission to negociate an amendment of the abovementioned Agreement only as far as the areas for cooperation, mentioned under Article 4 of that Agreement, are concerned, in accordance with the procedure laid down in Article 11(2) of that Agreement;
(2) considérant que, par sa décision du 24 septembre 1998, le Conseil a autorisé la Commission à négocier une modification de l'accord précité uniquement en ce qui concerne les domaines de coopération visés à l'article 4 de cet accord, conformément à la procédure prévue à l'article 11, paragraphe 2, dudit accord;
