True enough, one of the major criticisms of the bill is that it does not adequately protect habitat. In terms of the Group No. 4 amendments, the member for Windsor St. Clair, our environment critic, along with other members of the Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development have worked incredibly hard to counter the intransigence of the government in thwarting the will of the Canadian public in dealing with this legislation.
