The percentage referred to in the first subparagraph shall be equal to the ratio between the quantities respectively of 73 000 tonnes for the marketing years 1999/2000 to 2004/2005 and 23 000 tonnes as from the marketing year 2005/2006 and the total of the reference quantities available on each holding on 31 March 2000.

1. As from the marketing year 1999/2000, for the purposes of sharing the additional levy between the producers referred to in Article 4 of Regulation (EC) No 1788/2003, only producers within the meaning of Article 5(c) of that Regulation, established and producing in the Azores, who market quantities exceeding their reference quantity increased by the percentage referred to in the third subparagraph of this paragraph shall be deemed to have contributed to the overrun.

Article 37 of Regulation (EC) No 1782/2003 as amended by Regulation (EC) No 864/2004 provides that for the olive oil sector, the reference amount corresponding to the individual farmers is the four-year average of the total amount of payments which a farmer was granted under the olive oil production aid, calculated and adjusted according to Annex VII to that Regulation, during the marketing years 1999/2000, 2000/01, 2001/02 and 2002/03.

Consequently, at least 60% of the average of the production aid payments in the olive sector during the reference period 2000 to 2002 should be converted into entitlements under the single payment scheme; the calculation of the entitlements for each individual farmer should be based on the marketing years 1999/2000, 2000/2001, 2001/2002 and 2002/2003.

On average for the marketing years 1999/2000 to 2001/02, exports amounted to 5,3 million tonnes versus 1,8 million tonnes for imports.
