Par contre, en ce qui concerne le discours sur les travaux de la Conférence intergouvernementale, je profite de cette occasion, qui est pour moi la dernière en tant que représentant de la présidence tournante de l’Union européenne, de pouvoir m’adresser au Parlement, pour remercier le Parlement, vous remercier tous pour la contribution que vous avez voulu donner aux travaux et à l’engagement de la présidence italienne, une contribution fondamentale, certainement riche de critiques, de suggestions, mais également, je l’admets, de certaines appréciations qui font toujours très plaisir et qui contribuent à alléger la lourde tâche découlant d’un agenda parfois trop rempli.

I will have the opportunity later to comment in more detail on the amendments put forward to this House but I would like already to say that the Parliamentary debates in committee have been extremely constructive, and that we have appreciated in particular the efforts of the rapporteur and the shadow rapporteurs in developing a coherent and consistent report, with many constructive amendment proposals.
