To make an effective contribution to achieving global sustainable development the EU and its Member States need to co-operate effectively with other countries and international institutions, including the OECD, the World Trade Organisation, the International Labour Organisation, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and the United Nations Environment Programme.

2. Consistent with their obligations under the World Trade Organization Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade, each Party shall inform the other Party of the changes it intends to make to the legislative, regulatory and administrative provisions relating to the subject matter of this Agreement and shall, except as provided for in paragraph 3 of this Article, notify the other Party of the new provisions at least 60 calendar days before their entry into force.
2. 4.3. For various reasons, in the foreseeable future, enthusiasm for a broader round of world trade negotiations is unlikely to be very great, either in the US or in third world countries. The EU should therefore make special efforts to secure the interest of the third world countries (which make up 80 % of the member countries of the WTO) in achieving progress.
4.3.
