Calls on the Commission and the Member States to support, through the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund and the Structural Funds, the provision of more occupational training and education to women working in the fisheries sector, in order to give them greater access to technical and managerial jobs; also calls for channels to be set up with a view to improving the dissemination of information about training opportunities and the funding available to make use of them;
13. invite la Commission et les États membres à soutenir, au moyen du Fonds européen pour les affaires maritimes et la pêche et des Fonds structurels, l'organisation d'un plus grand nombre de cours et de formations professionnels à l'attention des femmes qui travaillent dans le secteur de la pêche afin de leur ouvrir davantage les portes des emplois techniques et d'encadrement; demande également que des mécanismes soient prévus pour améliorer la diffusion d'informations sur les possibilités de formation et les financements disponibles afin qu'ils puissent être utilisés;

Member States need to do more, especially as regards course contents, lifelong learning and worker mobility, while it is up to industry to define future requirements accurately and to make technical occupations more attractive.

Emphasises that the newly established European supervisory authority (European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority) must make full use of its competences and play an important role in the preparatory process for a review of the IORP Directive, and in developing legal provisions, such as draft technical standards, guidelines and recommendations for a solvency regime; recalls that the IORP Directive should not apply to any public pension liabilities or work-related pension systems in the first pillar;
34. souligne que la nouvelle autorité européenne de surveillance (Autorité européenne des assurances et des pensions professionnelles) doit exercer pleinement ses compétences et jouer un rôle important dans la préparation d'une révision de la directive IRP et l'élaboration de dispositions juridiques relatives aux IRP telles qu'un projet de normes techniques, de lignes directrices et de recommandations concernant un régime de solvabilité; rappelle que la directive sur les IRP ne doit pas s'appliquer aux engagements en matière de retraite publique ni aux régimes de retraite liés au travail du premier pilier;

As regards Directive 2006/25/EC, the Commission should be empowered to make purely technical amendments to its Annexes, taking into account the adoption of directives in the field of technical harmonisation and standardisation with regard to the design, building, manufacture or construction of work equipment and/or workplaces, and taking into account technical progress, changes in the most appropriate harmonised European standards or international specifications, and new scientific findings concerning occupational exposure to optical radiation.
