The President of the Generalitat of Valencia, Mr Eduardo Zaplana, recently told the press that the Commissioner Mrs Loyola de Palacio had guaranteed European funding for the work involved in the Madrid-Valencia high-speed rail link during an interview she had with him when a delegation from Valencia visited Brussels on 1 February.
M.
