The EEA Council agrees that, in the context of the review of the transitional measures provided for in the Agreement, account should be taken of the elements which, according to the Declaration by the Government of Liechtenstein on the specific situation of the country, might justify the taking of safeguard measures by Liechtenstein as provided for in Article 112 of the EEA Agreement, i.e. an extraordinary increase in the number of nationals from the EC Member States or the other EFTA States, or in the total number of jobs in the economy, both in comparison with the number of the resident population.
