According to the Communication, the only category to be exempted from the rule would be the existing large concrete platforms for which there is currently no proven technology to remove them and where the environmental impact of disposal is limited. In addition it is recognised that in exceptional cases existing installations may be exempted from the prohibition.
Selon la communication, la seule exception à cette règle concernerait les grandes plates-formes en béton existantes, pour lesquelles il n'existe actuellement pas de techniques de démontage éprouvées, et dont les effets environnementaux de l'élimination sont faibles. Il est en outre reconnu que dans certains cas exceptionnels des installations existantes pourront être exemptées de l'interdiction.
