Recommends that the Council adopt a common EU migration policy, including relevant measures to meet effectively the challenges of both legal and illegal immigration; in this context calls for the implementation of the conclusions adopted eight years ago at the Tampere European Council and confirmed by the Lahti informal European Council, of the Hague Programme, and of the conclusions of the December 2006 European Council with regard to the need to apply the global immigration strategy adopted in 2005;
49. recommande au Conseil d'adopter une politique commune de l'UE en matière de migration comprenant des mesures appropriées afin de relever efficacement les défis de l'immigration légale et illégale; demande dans ce contexte la mise en œuvre des conclusions adoptées il y a huit ans lors du Conseil européen de Tampere et confirmées par le Conseil européen informel de Lahti, du programme de La Haye et des conclusions du Conseil européen de décembre 2006, en ce qui concerne la nécessité d'appliquer la stratégie globale en matière d'immigration approuvée en 2005;
