For many years, those of us involved in public life to one degree or another, and in public policy, have understood the concern and the pressing need around poverty, particularly children living in poverty, although I hasten to say, kids living in poverty are in families living in poverty so our policies must bridge the family unit.
Depuis plusieurs années, ceux de nous qui participent à la vie publique, à un titre ou un autre, et à l'élaboration de politiques comprennent les préoccupations et les besoins pressants que suscite la pauvreté, notamment chez les enfants. Laissez- moi toutefois préciser sans tarder que les enfants qui vivent dans la pauvreté vivent dans des familles qui vivent dans la pauvreté, si bien que nos politiques doivent toucher l'unité familiale.
