Mr. Speaker, it is with great pride that I rise in the House today to recognize a few of my constituents who serve in the Canadian armed forces in Afghanistan: my lifetime friend Ryan Crawford, Justin Lyon, Cameron Bruce, James Kirk, Kieran Kirk, Damon Arbour, Chris Farrish, Judd Beasley, a family with two generations of service, Mike Lassiline, and Mike's grandfather, Leonard Fisher, who served in Italy during World War II, Brendon Dinning and let us not forget his older brother, Matthew Dinning, who also served in Afghanistan and paid the ultimate price on April 22, 2006.
Monsieur le Président, c'est avec beaucoup de fierté que je prends la parole aujourd'hui pour rendre hommage à certains des électeurs de ma circonscription qui font partie des Forces armées canadiennes en Afghanistan: Ryan Crawford, mon ami de toujours; Justin Lyon, Cameron Bruce, James Kirk, Kieran Kirk, Damon Arbour, Chris Farrish et Judd Beasley; Mike Lassiline, dont le grand-père, Leonard Fisher, a combattu en Italie pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale; et Brendon Dinning dont le frère, Matthew Dinning, a lui aussi servi en Afghanistan, où il a été tué le 22 avril 2006.
