The only circumstance under which a judge might consent to diminution of a salary is when a judge takes leave without pay. Presumably that is, on arrangements agreeable to the international agency, the Government of Canada, and so on the judge, in forgoing his or her pay, would receive appropriate compensation from the international agency.
