The programme contains several occasions for them to do this, including a Round Table discussion with Mr Hashimoto, a seminar with the Keidanren, and a dinner with Japan's institute of company directors, the Keizai Doyukai. The companies are not going to Japan merely to sign contracts. They are participating in an effort to get the view of European business across about selling and investing in Japan, in a way that complements the efforts made by the European Commission and by national governments.
