If Israel cannot engage in this directly – I can understand the point of view of Israeli politicians who say we cannot talk to Hamas, even though many of the country’s citizens believe they should – if parliamentarians and members of the government say they do not want to, there are enough opportunities for international mediation.
Si Israël ne peut s’y engager directement – je peux comprendre le point de vue des politiciens israéliens qui affirment qu’ils ne peuvent parler avec le Hamas, même si de nombreux citoyens du pays estiment qu’ils devraient le faire –, si les parlementaires et les membres du gouvernement ne le veulent pas, il existe des possibilités d’avoir recours à une médiation internationale.
