Following a favourable opinion delivered by the EDF Committee (204th meeting of 24 september 1985) the Commission has approved financing in respect of the following projects. SENEGAL Study of village irrigated 5th EDF 1.000.000 ECU plots in the Podor Area Grant The project consists of a study with a view to establishing village irrigated plots and rehabilitating small areas of irrigated village land along the Senegal River in the Podor area, the total amount of land in question amounting to 3 000 ha.
La Commission, apres avis favorable du FED (204eme reunion du 24 septembre 1985) vient de prendre les decisions de financement suivantes : SENEGAL Etude d'unite irriguees 5eme FED 1.000.000 Ecus villageoises dans la region Aide non remboursable de PODOR Le projet consiste en une etude de creation d'unites irriguees villageoises et de rehabilitation de petits perimetres irrigues villageois le long du Fleuve Senegal dans la region de Podor, jusqu'a une surface cumulee de 3.000 ha.

Schemes under the programme cover the following fields: - Improvement of agricultural structures This subprogramme has the objective of rehabilitating certain clearly defined areas by creating the conditions for more efficient agriculture (reparcelling of land, irrigation, support services) and by improving the conditions of life in the villages.
Ses interventions portent sur les domaines suivants : - Amélioration des structures agricoles. Le sous-programme a pour objectif la récupération de zones bien délimitées en créant les conditions pour une agriculture plus performante (remembrement, irrigation, services d'appui) et en améliorant les conditions de vie dans les villages.
