Attendu que le Conseil de sécurité des Nations Unies, par sa résolution 665 du 25 août 1990, a fait appel au Canada et aux autres États membres qui ont présentement des forces navales dans la région de la Péninsule arabique afin que, sous l’autorité du Conseil de sécurité des Nations Unies, ils prennent toutes mesures nécessaires et justifiées selon les circonstances pour intercepter les navires qui entrent ou qui sortent afin d’examiner et de vérifier leurs cargaisons et leurs destinations et d’assurer l’exécution stricte des dispositions applicables prévues à la résolution 661;
