In spite of the dramatic nature of the experience, the patient is aware of the unreality of the change. The sensorium is normal and the capacity for emotional expression intact. Depersonalization-derealization symptoms may occur as part of a diagnosable schizophrenic, depressive, phobic, or obsessive-compulsive disorder. In such cases the diagnosis should be that of the main disorder.

Definition: This block contains a wide variety of disorders that differ in severity and clinical form but that are all attributable to the use of one or more psychoactive substances, which may or may not have been medically prescribed. The third character of the code identifies the substance involved, and the fourth character specifies the clinical state. The codes should be used, as required, for each substance specified, but it should be noted that not all fourth character codes are applicable to all substances. Identification of the psychoactive substance should be based on as many sources of information as possible. (2) For the purposes of this Act, a person who, before the day on which this subsection comes into force, has become entitled to an annuity under this Act or a pension under Part V of the former Act by virtue of having served in the regular force and who, after having become so entitled and before that day, is enrolled in or transferred to the reserve force shall, on the expiration of any continuous period of full-time service therein of one year, commencing before the day on which this subsection comes into force, be deemed to have been re-enrolled in the regular force at the commencement of that period, and, in any such case, section 5 shall be deemed to have applied in respect of that period but nothing in this section shall be held to require the repayment by the person of such part of that annuity or pension, as during that period, the person was entitled to receive under this Act or the former Act.

In such cases, costs eligible for financing shall not have been incurred prior to the date of submission of the grant application, except in duly justified exceptional cases as provided for in the basic act or in the event of extreme urgency for crisis management aid, civil protection operations and humanitarian aid operations, or in situations of imminent or immediate danger threatening to escalate into armed conflict or to destabilise a country, whereby an early engagement by the Union would be of major importance in promoting conflict prevention.
