TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

This problem is addressed by the Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure (PIC) for certain hazardous industrial chemicals and pesticides in international trade, which was adopted in 1998, and will be implemented in the Community by amendments to Regulation 2455/92.

While the Commission identifies international cooperation as the most appropriate means of combating world ecological problems, it also raises the possibility of making broader tax adjustments which would be environmentally sound and consistent with international trading rules.
