The other missions of the MCDVs are: control of Canadian maritime areas; seabed operations, including route mapping and bottom object inspection; search and rescue; support to other government departments, such as the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, the CCRA and the RCMP; humanitarian operations; training; and public affairs.
