Senator Bryden: It is my understanding that, for the purposes that I really am most interested in here — which is the ability of the counsellor to be able to give advice and receive information from his or her client — the solicitor-client privilege that we refer to as solicitor-client privilege also applies in Quebec under the terminology that I have used there.
