If adopted by the Legislator, this Regulation would to improve the conditions under which EU businesses can compete for public contracts in third countries, by strengthening the position of the European Union when negotiating access for EU companies to the public procurement markets of third countries, in order to open up our trading partners’ markets, and by improving, in line with the EU’s 2020 strategy, business opportunities for EU firms on a global scale, thereby creating new jobs.
