Noting the Constitutional Council's decision to declare the outgoing President, Idriss Deby, victor in the first round of the presidential election, the European Union regrets the many shortcomings in the organisation of the poll and the resultant irregularities.
Prenant acte de la décision du Conseil constitutionnel de déclarer le président sortant Idriss Deby vainqueur au premier tour de l'élection présidentielle, l'Union européenne regrette les nombreuses carences dans l'organisation du scrutin et les irrégularités qui s'en sont suivies.
