However, the wording of the motion concerns us, and we feel compelled to propose an amendment that would replace, the words after “in the following words” with the following: “We, the House of Commons of Canada, in Parliament assembled, wish to extend to Her our condolences on the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, who, with her husband, King George VI, was able to rally the British nation, particularly during the dark days of World War II”.
Cependant, la forme prise par la motion ne lasse pas de nous inquiéter et nous oblige, en fait, à présenter un amendement qui verrait à substituer ce qui suit, après les mots «termes suivants»: «Nous, la Chambre des communes du Canada assemblée en Parlement, voudrions Lui faire part de nos condoléances à l'occasion du décès de Sa Majesté la reine Élizabeth, Reine-Mère qui, avec son mari le Rri Georges VI, a su rassembler la nation britannique particulièrement lors de la période sombre de la Deuxième Guerre mondiale».
