The DPO may make recommendations and give advice to the Commission and the Controllers on matters concerning the application of data protection provisions and may perform investigations on request, or upon his own initiative, into matters and occurrences directly relating to his tasks, and report back to the person who commissioned the investigation, in accordance with the procedure described in Article 13 hereof.
