If that is the case, I believe so strongly in the need to comply with the convention that I will do whatever she thinks is necessary, whether it is the honourable senator in her personal capacity or as a minister of the Crown, to bring in legislation to take out corporal punishment in the Criminal Code on the basis that it is non-compliant with the international covenant.
