1. An insured person or a member of his/her family who has had a right to a prosthesis, a major appliance or other substantial benefits in kind recognised by the institution of a Member State, before he/she became insured under the legislation applied by the institution of another Member State, shall receive such benefits at the expense of the first institution, even if they are awarded after the said person has already become insured under the legislation applied by the second institution.

La personne assurée qui s'est vu reconnaître, pour elle-même ou pour un membre de sa famille, le droit à une prothèse, à un grand appareillage ou à d'autres prestations en nature d'une grande importance, par l'institution d'un État membre, avant d'être assurée en vertu de la législation appliquée par l'institution d'un autre État membre, bénéficie de ces prestations à la charge de la première institution, même si elles sont accordées alors que ladite personne est déjà assurée en vertu de la législation appliquée par la deuxième institution.
