On the finance that has already been announced for African agriculture, I am delighted to hear Louis Michel, if I have understood him correctly, say that it will go to smaller producers and therefore to help subsistence farming, which contributes to overcoming the crisis particularly for the poorest, and not to multinationals dedicated to exporting, which would actually make countries even poorer and more dependent on imports.
En ce qui concerne le financement qui a déjà été annoncé pour l’agriculture africaine, je me réjouis d’entendre Louis Michel - si je l’ai bien compris - dire qu’il ira aux petits producteurs, donc qu’il servira à aider l’agriculture vivrière, ce qui contribue à surmonter la crise, notamment pour les plus pauvres, et pas seulement les multinationales axées sur l’exportation, ce qui, en fait, rendrait les pays encore plus pauvres et plus dépendants des importations.
