This, I believe, is where we have to maintain a balance, and I would urge that we do so, so let me – to take an example – say by way of an appeal to the Greens and others, that the game is over, that Parliament has won its points, and that what matters now is that the Commission be endowed with a large majority, thus legitimating it and enabling it, over the next five years, to do the work that we exist to monitor.
C’est là, me semble-t-il, qu’il faut maintenir l’équilibre et je nous invite à le faire. Permettez-moi - pour prendre un exemple - de dire aux Verts et à d’autres que la partie est terminée, que le Parlement a engrangé ses points et que ce qui compte à présent, c’est que la Commission soit investie à une large majorité qui lui apporte la légitimité et qui lui permette, dans les cinq prochaines années, de faire le travail que nous sommes chargés de surveiller.
