The Council welcomes the fact that the Commission has updated the list annexed to Council Regulation (EC) No 467/2001 of 6 March 2001 prohibiting the export of certain goods and services to Afghanistan, strengthening the flight ban and extending the freeze of funds and other financial resources in respect of the Taliban of Afghanistan, in order to freeze the assets of persons identified by the Sanctions Committee established within the framework of UN Security Council Resolution 1267.
