Michael Forrestall: Honourable senators, I want only to join in the tributes being paid this afternoon to a person who was, to me, a very gracious and warm Canadian and who, on a number of visits to her office in the Victoria Building, introduced me, in a way no one else had been able to before, to the spirit of French Canada — my Canada; her Canada.

Michael Forrestall: Honorables sénateurs, je voudrais joindre mon hommage à ceux que le Sénat rend cet après-midi à une personne qui est pour moi une Canadienne pleine de grâce et de chaleur, une personne qui, à l'occasion des visites que je lui ai rendues à son bureau de l'édifice Victoria, m'a fait connaître comme aucune autre personne avant elle l'esprit du Canada français, mon Canada, son Canada.
