Galileo is essential to European industry, to technological capacity, to European space technology, but also for a series of other factors, such as autonomy, sovereignty and the capacity to offer an alternative service to GPS, which would strengthen the latter, since, as we have often said, Galileo will be and should always be, compatible with the GPS, both should be mutually strengthened, and, in the event of the failure of either of them, the other should serve as an alternative for all users.
Galileo est essentiel pour l'industrie européenne, pour la capacité technologique, pour la technologie spatiale européenne mais également pour toute une série d'éléments tels que l'autonomie, la souveraineté et la capacité d'offrir un service alternatif au GPS, qui le renforcerait puisque, comme nous le disons systématiquement, Galileo sera et devrait toujours être compatible avec le GPS ; les deux systèmes devraient se renforcer mutuellement et en cas de défaillance de l'un d'eux, l'autre devrait servir d'alternative à tous les utilisateurs.
