IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

This legislative proposal aims at renewing the existence of the European Globalization Adjustment Fund (EGF) and makes a number of changes to the EGF to try to improve its efficiency.
Cette proposition législative vise à renouveler l'existence du Fonds européen d'ajustement à la mondialisation (FEM) et apporte un certain nombre de modifications au FEM afin d'en améliorer l'efficacité.

The Commission proposal for a new Regulation on the European Globalization Adjustment Fund (hereafter - EGF) (2014-2020) contains a few welcome changes, compared with the Regulation (EC) No 1927/2006, currently in force, especially, extension of the scope of the Regulation to include workers with fixed term contracts and temporary agency workers made redundant as well as owner-managers of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and self-employed workers.
La proposition de la Commission concernant un nouveau règlement relatif au Fonds européen d'ajustement à la mondialisation (FEM) pour la période 2014-2020 comporte plusieurs changements appréciables par rapport au règlement (CE) n° 1927/2006, actuellement en vigueur, et notamment l'élargissement de son champ d'application aux travailleurs titulaires d'un contrat à durée déterminée et aux travailleurs intérimaires licenciés, ainsi qu'aux propriétaires/dirigeants de micro-, petites et moyennes entreprises et aux travailleurs indépendants.

In order to facilitate the speedy adoption by the European budget authority of the Commission proposal for a decision of the European Parliament and Council regarding mobilisation of the European Global Adjustment Fund for the EGF/2008/005 ES/Cataluña and EGF/2009/001 PT/Norte-Centro applications, the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs forwarded the proposal to its Working Group on the European Global Adjustment Fund (EGF) and to coordinators for consideration.
