1.The rules applicable to financial contributions from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) are laid down in Regulation (EU) No 1309/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 December 2013 on the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (2014-2020) and repealing Regulation (EC) No 1927/2006 (the ‘EGF Regulation’).
1.Les règles régissant les contributions financières du Fonds européen d’ajustement à la mondialisation (FEM) sont définies dans le règlement (UE) n° 1309/2013 du Parlement européen et du Conseil du 17 décembre 2013 relatif au Fonds européen d’ajustement à la mondialisation pour la période 2014-2020 et abrogeant le règlement (CE) n° 1927/2006 (ci-après le «règlement FEM»).

Requests the institutions involved to make the necessary efforts to improve procedural and budgetary arrangements in order to accelerate the mobilisation of the EGF; appreciates the improved procedure put in place by the Commission, following Parliament's request for accelerating the release of grants, aimed at presenting to the budgetary authority the Commission's assessment on the eligibility of an EGF application together with the proposal to mobilise the EGF; hopes that further improvements in the procedure will be integrated in the new Regulation on the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (2014–2020) and that greater efficiency, transparency and visibility of the EGF will be achieved;
invite les institutions concernées à consentir les efforts nécessaires pour améliorer les dispositions pratiques en matière de procédure et de budget, de façon à accélérer la mobilisation du Fonds; se félicite de la procédure améliorée mise en place par la Commission, à la suite de la demande du Parlement d'accélérer le déblocage des subventions, en vue de soumettre à l'autorité budgétaire l'évaluation de la Commission concernant l'éligibilité d'une demande ainsi que la proposition de mobilisation du Fonds; espère que d'autres améliorations seront apportées à la procédure dans le cadre du nouveau règlement sur le Fonds (2014-2020) et que l'on parviendra ainsi à renforcer l'efficacité, la transparence et la visibilité du fonds;

whereas the scope of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) was broadened for applications submitted from 1 May 2009 to include support for workers made redundant as a direct result of the global financial and economic crisis;
considérant que le champ d'application du Fonds a été élargi aux demandes présentées depuis le 1er mai 2009 afin d'inclure une aide aux travailleurs dont le licenciement est la conséquence directe de la crise financière et économique mondiale;

whereas the scope of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) was broadened for applications submitted from 1 May 2009 to include support for workers made redundant as a direct result of the global financial and economic crisis,
