Three independent studies were released about three years ago—almost exactly three years ago: the Nova Scotia Family Violence Tracking Project, which was done by the Department of Justice; a report called “From Rhetoric to Reality: Ending Domestic Violence in Nova Scotia”, done by the Law Reform Commission; and Peggy Mahon's spousal homicide study called “Changing Perspectives”, which was done through the family violence prevention division of Health Canada.

Stresses the urgency of a process of national reconciliation, including all moderate political and social forces in Egypt, without which the largest country involved in the Arab Spring will stray further from the democratic transition process initiated in 2011; stresses the particular responsibility of the interim government and the military forces to refrain from taking any measures which aggravate the social and ideological divisions in Egyptian society, notably by ending its revanchist crackdown against the Muslim Brotherhood and by criticising publicly any acts and pronouncements stoking social tensions; calls on moderate elements in the Brotherhood actively to support and participate in this process; calls on all sides to curb the incendiary rhetoric and to commit to peaceful political expression;

The political leaders have the prime responsibility to achieve concrete and tangible progress, including on the road towards EU integration, in a spirit of compromise and collective constructive action, while refraining from divisive rhetoric and actions that would harm the interests of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
