I believe that, fortunately, thanks in particular to our work on democracy, innovation capacity and the welfare state which was born in this continent, thanks to these three values (work, democracy and the welfare state), we can be the continent and the Union which has the best social protection and the highest level of income and welfare.
Je pense que, heureusement, grâce en particulier à notre travail sur la démocratie, à la capacité d'innovation et à l'État providence qui a vu le jour sur ce continent, grâce à ces trois valeurs (le travail, la démocratie et l'État providence), nous pouvons être le continent et l'Union qui dispose de la meilleure protection sociale et du plus haut niveau de revenu et de prospérité.
