If we had taken the time and had had the foresight to study the issue and to involve the Canadian Bar Association, community groups and others, we might have ended up with the same piece of legislation, but legislation in which we could have more confidence in terms of withstanding pressures and court tests.
Si nous avions pris le temps et si nous avions eu la prévoyance d'étudier cette question et de demander la participation de l'Association du Barreau canadien, de groupes communautaires et autres, nous nous serions peut-être retrouvés avec le même projet de loi, mais il nous inspirerait davantage confiance pour ce qui est de ses chances de résister à la contestation devant les tribunaux.
