– Je me suis montré réceptif à la lecture de la proposition initiale de résolution concernant la crise que rencontre actuellement le secteur de l’élevage au sein de l’UE, qui dénonce notamment le manque de transparence au sein de la chaîne alimentaire, faisant des producteurs et consommateurs les maillons faibles de la filière agroalimentaire, l’extrême volatilité des marchés et du secteur laitier de l’UE en particulier, les distorsions de concurrence entre les producteurs de l’UE et ceux des pays tiers soumis à des réglementations moins exigeantes sur la qualité et la sécurité des aliments, et qui réaffirme la nécessité d’une régulation efficace des marchés et d’un budget fort pour la PAC post 2013. Mais je dénonce finalement l’adoption de cette résolution et, en particulier, des amendements 1, 2 et 3 qui ouvrent une voie royale à la présence de soja et de maïs transgéniques, en provenance des pays tiers, sur le territoire européen et au retour des farines animales dans l’alimentation des non-ruminants alors que la sécurité alimentaire ne peut être garantie.
