They are every bit as robust in terms of the determination of the legitimacy of expenditures, and the policies are every bit as strict, even down to the fact that we have a financial portal, which people are finding perhaps difficult to adjust to because it's not just paper anymore, but that's another added layer of safety in terms of saying you have to meet certain threshold criteria.

Stresses that the revised 2006 Interinstitutional Agreement on budgetary discipline and sound financial management must provide for more transparency in the CFSP budgetary procedure and properly address the information requirements of the budgetary authority in order for that authority to be fully and regularly informed on the background, context and financial implications of political decisions in this policy area; takes the view that the European Parliament should receive adequate information prior to the adoption of mandates and strategies in the CFSP sphere; welcomes the support expressed by the VP/HR for the proposal that all important CSDP missions should be identified in the budget; believes, in this regard, that full transparency and democratic scrutiny require separate budget lines for each and every mission; reiterates its position that, in order to enhance the democratic legitimacy of the CFSP, Parliament's competent bodies should be consulted prior to the launch of CSDP missions and should be able properly to monitor CSDP missions in particular; emphasises that in order to fulfil the criteria of credibility and self-definition in the Lisbon Treaty, adequate budgetary resources need to be allocated to CFSP objectives;

This was set up so that every four years we could look at the adequacy of judicial compensation and benefits. (9) To adopt an international accounting standard for application in the Community, it is necessary firstly that it meets the basic requirement of the aforementioned Council Directives, that is to say that its application results in a true and fair view of the financial position and performance of an enterprise - this principle being considered in the light of the said Council Directives without implying a strict conformity with each and every provision of those Directives; secondly that, in accordance with the conclusions of the Council of 17 July 2000, it is conducive to the European public good and lastly that it meets basic criteria as to the quality of information required for financial statements to be useful to users.
