IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

1. Within the limits of costs ceilings, officials obliged to change their place of residence in order to comply with Article 20 of the Staff Regulations upon entry into service or on a subsequent change of place of employment while in service and who have not been reimbursed in respect of the same expenses from another source, shall be entitled to the reimbursement of expenses incurred in respect of the removal of furniture and personal effects, including the cost of insurance against ordinary risks (notably breakage, theft, fire).

Dans les limites des plafonds des coûts, les fonctionnaires qui se trouvent obligés de déplacer leur résidence pour se conformer aux dispositions de l'article 20 du statut au moment de leur entrée en service ou d'un changement ultérieur de lieu d'affectation alors qu'ils sont en service et qui n'auraient pas bénéficié par ailleurs d'un remboursement des mêmes frais, peuvent prétendre au remboursement des dépenses effectuées pour le déménagement de leur mobilier et de leurs effets personnels, y compris les frais d'assurance pour la couverture des risques simples (notamment bris, vol, incendie).

6. Notes with satisfaction that the EESC Bureau decided, on 6 December 2011, to undertake a reform of the system for reimbursing expenses to members, including reimbursement of transport tickets on the basis of real costs only, which brings the daily allowances and travel allowances into line with those paid by Parliament and provides for allowances to compensate for the time spent by members in performance of their duties and for the related administrative costs, taking into account the fact that EESC members do not receive any form of remuneration or pension from the EU budget;
6. note avec satisfaction que le Bureau du CESE a décidé, le 6 décembre 2011, une réforme du système de remboursement des frais des membres qui vise notamment à rembourser les titres de transport exclusivement sur la base des frais réels, qui aligne les indemnités journalières et de transport à celles payées par le Parlement et qui prévoit des indemnités de compensation pour le temps consacré par les membres à l'exercice de leurs fonctions et les frais administratives afférents, tout ceci étant donné que les membres du CESE ne bénéficient d'aucune forme de rémunération ni de pension à charge du budget de l'Union;

Information about reimbursement of expenses should be provided, from the time of the first contact with a competent authority, for example in a leaflet stating the basic conditions for such reimbursement of expenses.

6. If the reimbursement of these expenses has not been requested directly from the institution of the place of stay, the charges incurred shall be reimbursed to the person concerned by the competent institution at the reimbursement rates applied by the institution of the place of stay.
6. Si le remboursement de ces dépenses n'a pas été demandé directement auprès de l'institution du lieu de séjour, les frais exposés sont remboursés à la personne concernée par l'institution compétente aux tarifs de remboursement appliqués par l'institution du lieu de séjour.
