In order to broaden retail investors' access to ELTIFs, a UCITS is able to invest in units or shares issued by an ELTIF to the extent that the ELTIF's units or shares are eligible under Directive 2009/65/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council (8).

This Article shall not apply to voting rights attached to shares acquired for stabilisation purposes in accordance with Commission Regulation (EC) No 2273/2003 of 22 December 2003 implementing Directive 2003/6/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards exemptions for buy-back programmes and stabilisation of financial instruments , provided the voting rights attached to those shares are not exercised or otherwise used to intervene in the management of the issuer.

Le présent article ne s’applique pas aux droits de vote qui sont attachés à des actions acquises à des fins de stabilisation conformément au règlement (CE) no 2273/2003 de la Commission du 22 décembre 2003 portant modalités d’application de la directive 2003/6/CE du Parlement européen et du Conseil en ce qui concerne les dérogations prévues pour les programmes de rachat et la stabilisation d’instruments financiers , pour autant que les droits de vote attachés auxdites actions ne soient pas exercés ni utilisés autrement pour intervenir dans la gestion de l’émetteur.

In the light of the positions taken by the European Parliament, the Council and the Commission, it is appropriate to establish mandatory national targets consistent with a 20 % share of energy from renewable sources and a 10 % share of energy from renewable sources in transport in Community energy consumption by 2020.
Compte tenu des points de vue exprimés par le Parlement européen, le Conseil et la Commission, il convient de définir des objectifs contraignants nationaux qui correspondent à une part de 20 % de l’énergie produite à partir de sources renouvelables dans la consommation totale d’énergie pour la Communauté et à une part de 10 % de ce type d’énergie destinée au transport, et ce, d’ici à 2020.
