Around one hundred participants from Europe's civil society organisations discussed with representatives of all the major European Union institutions - including Commissioner Bolkestein and the Chairman of the European Parliament's Committee on Legal Affairs and the Single Market, Mr Giuseppe Gargani - the topic of simplification, with the Commission's Action Plan on Better Regulation from 5 June as the starting point.
