Having regard to Council Directive 92/65/EEC of 13 July 1992 laying down animal health requirements governing trade and imports into the Community of animals, semen, ova and embryos not subject to animal health requirements laid down in specific Community rules referred to in Annex A(I) to Directive 90/425/EEC(1) as last amended by Commission Decision 95/176/EC(2) and in particular Article 17 paragraph 2(b) and 3 and Article 18 paragraph 1, first end fourth indents thereof,
vu la directive 92/65/CEE du Conseil du 13 juillet 1992 définissant les conditions de police sanitaire régissant les échanges et les importations dans la Communauté d'animaux, de spermes, d'ovules et d'embryons non soumis, en ce qui concerne les conditions de police sanitaire, aux réglementations communautaires spécifiques visées à l'annexe A, section I, de la directive 90/425/CEE(1), modifiée en dernier lieu par la décision 95/176/CE de la Commission(2), et notamment son article 17, paragraphe 2, point b), et paragraphe 3, et son article 18, paragraphe 1, premier et quatrième tirets,

(b) the words "or, as the case may be, on the day before the euro is substituted for the currency of a Member State which adopts the euro at a later date" shall be added at the end of the fourth indent.

2. To this end, on a proposal from the Commission and after obtaining the opinion of the European Parliament, the Council shall act by a qualified majority when exercising the powers referred to in the third and fourth indents of paragraph 1 and unanimously when exercising the powers referred to in the first and second indents of paragraph 1.
