The Commission will: present in 2011 a new strategy on the support of EU SMEs in markets outside the European Union and a strategy for globally competitive clusters and networks[40] with a specific focus on analysing the role played by them in improving SMEs’ competitiveness; address problems of SMEs with regard to the use of the EU Trade Defence Instruments (TDI) by increasing information on and assistance in using these instruments; pursue systematic efforts to eliminate non-tariff barriers in Free Trade Agreements and facilitate SMEs’ access to third country markets and help to enforce IPR, in line with the renewed trade policy.
