A vulnerable country and one of the poorest in the world, it has faced a two-pronged crisis since the end of 2014: an economic and budgetary crisis following the protracted fall in oil prices, and a security crisis resulting from the repeated attacks by Boko Haram (so-called ‘Islamic State in West Africa') and from the detrimental effects of the Libyan crisis – crises that are making the country even more vulnerable.

My country is far from being stable, with war covering almost one third of the country and the so-called elected government increasingly practising atrocities and human rights violations, actively working towards effecting an Islamic constitution and building an Islamic state in Sudan.
