So I would ask, Mr. Speaker, that in light of this draconian motion of closure that is being imposed on the Standing Committee on International Trade, you would request of the Chair of the standing committee not to proceed forthwith tomorrow morning, but rather to hold off until you, as Speaker of the House, can make an appropriate ruling in regard to this very draconian abuse of parliamentary privilege.
Je vous prie donc, monsieur le Président, à la lumière de cette motion de clôture draconienne imposée au Comité permanent du commerce international, de demander à la présidence du comité de ne pas aller de l'avant demain matin, mais d'attendre que vous rendiez, en votre qualité de Président, une décision appropriée concernant cet abus radical du privilège parlementaire.
