To address the Commission's concerns and in order to avoid an in-depth investigation, Telefónica committed itself to leave the FreeMove alliance as soon as possible and not to re-enter that alliance without the Commission’s prior consent in the coming years. With the termination of its alliance membership the serious doubts outlined above are removed and the Commission can approve the merger.
Afin de dissiper les réserves émises par la Commission et d'éviter une enquête approfondie, Telefónica s'est elle-même engagée à quitter l'alliance FreeMove dès que possible et à ne pas la réintégrer sans autorisation préalable de la Commission au cours de ces prochaines années. La fin de sa participation à l'alliance lève les doutes sérieux exposés ci-dessus et la Commission peut donc autoriser l'opération de concentration.
